National Acclaim for local holiday parks!

A recent Times Online article, commenting on the rising popularity of caravan and camping holidays mentions two local holiday parks as examples of why this trend may be happening. They are non other than our two local holiday park clients ”Ayr Holiday Park” and ”Mother Iveys Bay”!

Both of these excellent parks saw their new websites go live recently as highlighted in our company news. It seems that the parks may have attracted a certain ammount of national attention as a result!

Ayr Holiday Park was praised for the quality of its ”lavatory blocks” which, far from being basic and dirty, sport "mosaic floors and piped music". This may be one reason, the article speculates, why this type of self catetring holiday is no longer seen as a second-rate option but a very comfortable family holiday choice.

The quality of Ayr's ”static caravans” is also highlighted;

"Most tourers and holiday homes come with double glazing and heating as standard; many have en-suite bathrooms, airy pitched roofs and wrapround verandas."

This quality is equally present at Mother Iveys Bay whose ”caravans” are also of Rose Award standard. Mother Iveys Bay wins the praise of Viscount Coke of Holkham Hall, Norfolk whose Grandmother owned a caravan at Mother Iveys Bay when he was a child.

“We had a whale of a time running about with the other children,” he says. “It’s classless, it’s safe, you are in a family park where lots of the owners know each other and it’s about location, location, location.”

Certainly, Mother Iveys Bay and Ayr Holiday Park do enjoy particularly stunning locations and it is encouraging to see that the beauty of Cornwall can be enjoyed in a sustainable way. The "green" aspect of the holiday parks is further explored by the article which mentions the ”David Bellamy Awards” - of which both parks are proud owners. These recognise parks that work to preserve, enhance and educate about the environment in which they are set; in so doing they are preserved for future generations to enjoy too.
