Student Package and Discount

The engineers at Cnx Technology have had a lot of experience helping students by removing viruses and recovering lost work. So we decided to put together a yearly support package specifically aimed at the student fraternity! In essence what this means is that you can use our services as many times as you like throughout the academic year WITHOUT paying for labour costs time and again.

• You get a pre-uni health check that would normally cost £49.00
• All reasonable labour in-store (see below for what we mean by reasonable)
• If you need it, we'll install a FULL copy of Webroot Internet Security.

Student Package Terms & Conditions

• Valid NUS card required.
• Only one machine is covered at any one time. We will only start the cover once you have had the initial health check so get in quick. If you change your laptop, you need to come and see us before we will cover the new one.
• Unlimited Labour. We will provide reasonable free labour in-store and remotely (e.g. we'll spend hours fixing your computer) but not unlimited labour. As an example, we could spend 100's of man hours trying to recover data which would be more suited for recovery by a 3rd party.
• Parts & Hardware. You are welcome to supply your own, but any parts needed to implement a repair will be charged accordingly.
• Services not included: Mechanical or Physical Data Recovery (e.g. taking your hard drive apart to recover your files). Motherboard Repair.
• The support contract lasts from the day the health check is completed to the last day of your university year. If you leave university early, your cover will end.
• We make no guarantees on data recovery, PLEASE backup and DO NOT rely on USB sticks (we see a LOT of students who have lost data which is not recoverable).
• "Backup" means at least two up-to-date copies.
• All workshop labour is non chargeable (exclusive of parts).

Even if you don't want to take advantage of the above package you can still get a 10% discount with a valid NUS card.

Silver Surfer Discount

Discounts are available on all our computer repair services for our more mature customers, if you are aged over 50 you are entitled to a 10% discount. So whether your computer needs a tune-up or an upgrade; if you don't know your iPod from your iPad; or you simply need some good, honest advice we have a service to suit you at a discounted rate.
